Tips for Success

  • Join the video session a few minutes early to test your settings.
  • If you can connect to the Internet, but are having trouble joining the video, you can use this pre-call tool.
  • To use a smartphone to join a video chat, you must first download the Microsoft Teams app available in the app store for iOS or Android.
  • If you are using an Apple/iOS device (i.e. MacBook) it is recommended that you download the TEAMS App or use Chrome or Firefox browser (Safari is not currently supported).
  • If you need to cancel or have questions about the appointment, please call our telehealth line at (914) 787-7022 or call the front desk at your local clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do to improve the quality of the connection?
  • If available, a wired internet connection will give you the smoothest, most consistent experience.
  • Close other programs. If you have several programs running in the background, closing them will almost certainly improve the quality.
  • Make sure no one in your home is watching streaming video (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, etc.)

If you are unable to connect, please contact us as soon as possible to see if we can help you troubleshoot.

Where's the best place to do a video call?
  • Choose a space that is private and away from potential distractions, such as other household members, coworkers, and pets.
  • Choose a well-lit space.
  • Choose a space with plenty of room to move – your therapist may have you perform various movements in order to assess your condition and function.
  • If you’re using a laptop, make sure the camera is at eye level and not pointing up at the ceiling or down at the floor.
Is Telehealth private?

Just like a face-to-face appointment, your Telehealth visit will be private and confidential.
