Kimberly Downs, OTD, MOTR/L Achieves her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with a Specialty in Visual Rehabilitation!

We are proud to announce that Kimberly Downs, OTD, MOTR/L has completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with a specialty in Visual Rehabilitation from Salus University (formerly known as the Pennsylvania College of Optometry).
For the past 25 years, Kimberly has enjoyed helping patients overcome the visual challenges associated with their neurological diagnoses and is looking forward to using her education to further assist this population.
Kimberly’s specialties include addressing visual changes such as double vision, blurry vision, loss of visual field, visual discomfort, visual headache, and visually evoked dizziness associated with concussion, stroke, traumatic brain injures, Parkinson’s disease, and vestibular dysfunction.
As an occupational therapist, Kimberly provides holistic care by evaluating and addressing her patients’ visual, cognitive, and psychological needs and the impact of these areas on daily function. In planning treatments, she utilizes adaptive and rehabilitation approaches to help her patients reach their functional goals. Kimberly strives to communicate and collaborate with her patients’ medical teams to provide excellent and attentive care.
