ARMONK, N.Y. (Aug 24, 2017)— Access Physical Therapy & Wellness is pleased to announce that the Armonk office is now the home of Westchester Dance Rehabilitation, a special physical therapy program geared towards dancers. The program is headed by a professionally trained dancer turned physical therapist, Jessica Koletsky, PT, DPT, who is the director of the Armonk location. The office is located at 530 Main St.

“Jess made sure that each session was personable and productive,” said L.B., dancer in Hamilton on Broadway. “I knew that after a short session with Jess, I would be performance ready.”

The Westchester Dance Rehabilitation program offers special services not available at most physical therapy clinics, such as:

  • On-site dance injury assessment
  • Pointe readiness assessment
  • Maintenance/injury prevention
  • Body-work

“Jessica Koletsky is one of the most patient and kind physical therapists I have had the honor to work with,” said L.C., dancer in Aladdin on Broadway. “She goes above and beyond with her clients and is incredibly helpful in explaining treatment and exercises to promote a speedy recovery time. I feel very lucky to have worked with Jessica during my dance career and I still continue to use her PT warm-ups and stretches before shows.”

Koletsky received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and continued on to receive her doctorate, with honors, in physical therapy from Emory University in Atlanta.

Koletsky began her career on the national tour of “West Side Story” as the performer’s personal physical therapist. She has since worked with patients ranging from pre-teens to geriatrics with various orthopedic conditions. Koletsky has a passion for manual therapy and uses various techniques including Active Release Technique, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and Kinesio Taping.

The Armonk clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.
