Director of the Bedford clinic, Galia Spassova, PT, MSPT

BEDFORD, N.Y. (Feb 9, 2017)—Access Physical Therapy & Wellness has promoted physical therapist Galia Spassova, PT, MSPT, to the position of director of its Bedford office. The clinic is located at 649 Old Post Road.


“I’m really honored to be given this opportunity,” said Spassova. “It means a lot to be valued for my skills and to be trusted with this responsibility.”


Spassova graduated from The National Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria with a master’s degree in kinesiotherapy (physical therapy) and physical education. She practiced as a kinesiotherapist in Bulgaria for 10 years before immigrating to the United States. After moving, she returned to school and received a master’s degree in physical therapy from Mercy College in 2006.


“Galia has been such a great addition to the Access family since she started here,” said Access regional director Neil Chernick, MSPT, OCS, Cert MDT, CSCS. “We knew that she would be the perfect candidate for the new director position at the Bedford clinic.”


Spassova specializes in the treatment of sports related injuries, with a focus on the treatment of gymnastics and dance related injuries, and the promotion of overall health and wellness of her patients.


The Bedford clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, balance problems and dizziness, post-surgical recovery, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.
