STAMFORD, Conn. (Feb 24, 2017)—Access Physical Therapy & Wellness recently opened its newest physical therapy clinic in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The office is located in Unit 2 at 85 Old Long Ridge Rd, in Stamford.

The new clinic’s director and leading physical therapist is Dr. Sean Altman, PT, DPT, CPT. Altman received his doctorate in physical therapy at Stony Brook University. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise, and has specialized training in functional exercise training, sports conditioning, and Mulligan manual therapy treatment techniques.

“I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to lead this new clinic,” said Altman. “This is the first time Access has opened a location in Connecticut, and I’m honored that they chose me to be their first director in the state.”

Altman is trained in golf swing analysis and kinematics with an emphasis on physical therapy applications. By combining his background and expertise in athletics and personal training with his doctorate training as a physical therapist, Altman constructs individualized exercise programs specific to each patient’s current impairments and future goals.

“Sean has been a great asset in our Bedford office, and we know he’ll make a great director in our new Stamford office,” said Access co-owner, Chris Albanese. “This is our first office in Connecticut, so it was important that we put the right person in charge there. I’m certain that Sean is the right person.”

The Stamford clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.

Access provides one-on-one care and only schedules 1-2 patients per hour. Patients are guaranteed to receive an initial evaluation within 24 hours.
