Access Physical Therapy & Wellness is happy to announce the hiring of James Gualtieri, PT, DPT, as the new director and physical therapist in its Rhinebeck clinic.

Gualtieri received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Marist College and continued on to receive his doctorate in physical therapy from Stony Brook University.

Gualtieri is certified in Rock Doc Fascial Movement Taping (Level 1) and practices a multitude of manual approaches to treat his patients. Gualtieri has experience working in various settings including acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, and home care, but the majority of his career has been spent in outpatient clinics working closely with orthopedic surgeons.

Gualtieri specializes in the treatment of athletes with an emphasis on evidence-based practice to accelerate rehab and return these patients to their sports. He is an avid New York Giants and Yankee fan, often enjoying the opportunity to be outdoors and play golf as well as softball.

Prior to taking over this new position, Gualtieri completed his clinical at the Rhinebeck clinic. While there, Gualtieri worked with Helena Hobson, the previous director of the Rhinebeck Clinic.

The Rhinebeck clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.
