(November 28, 2017)—The leadership team at Access Physical Therapy & Wellness presented at this year’s annual Private Practice Section (PPS), American Physical Therapy Association conference in Chicago, IL earlier this month. CEO’s Christopher Albanese, PT, MS, and Stephen Albanese, PT, DPT, along with Director of Talent Acquisition & Development, Shannon Albanese, PT presented for the Administrators Certificate Program for continuing education credits.
Their presentation focused on finance and business management for private practices pertaining to the understanding of basic financial operations and metrics found within private practice clinics, a prerequisite to making sound decisions.
“Understanding business metrics in private practice is the foundation from which managers and owners are able to provide the resources necessary to maintain and grow the clinical operations of their practice,” said Christopher Albanese. “Poor financial management can lead to the demise of even the most visionary clinics, while even the basic foothold on the concepts of financial management can allow practices to remain in operation for many years.”
In addition to presenting at the PPS Conference, the Albaneses also hold committee seats on the PPS APTA board. Director of Revenue Integrity and Compliance at Access Physical Therapy & Wellness, Janet Albanese, PT, MSPT, MHA is the Committee Chair for the annual event, planning the conference each year, while Stephen is on the public relations and marketing committee for PPS APTA.
