Monroe, NY (March 8, 2019) — Several of Access Physical Therapy & Wellness’ physical therapists learned a new approach to manual therapy for the lumbar spine, sacroiliac joint, and the lower extremity. The two-day class was hosted at the Monroe clinic, 505 Route 208, Ste 30, and it included a lecture, patient demonstrations, and lab time for participants.
This unique approach to manual therapy was discovered and developed by Brian Mulligan F.N.Z.S.P. (Hon), Dip. M.T. from Wellington, New Zealand. This simple yet effective manual approach addresses musculoskeletal disorders with pain-free manual joint “repositioning” techniques for restoration of function and abolition of pain.
“We regularly treat patients experiencing lumbar or lower extremity issues,” said Dr. Tracy Urvater, PT, DPT, OCS, GTS. “Being able to utilize these techniques will greatly improve our ability to help them.”
Thirteen of Access Physical Therapy & Wellness’ clinics were in attendance and their therapists now employ these techniques in their clinics. Patients can now be treated at the following clinics:
