Thomas Plowinske, PT, DPT, OCS
Director
Albany, NY
Thomas Plowinske PT, DPT, OCS completed his undergraduate studies at Marist College. He then earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The Sage Colleges. He has extensive experience treating a variety of conditions including: general orthopedic injuries and impairments; low back pain and neck pain; post-concussion; and post operative joint replacements, ACL repairs, and shoulder surgeries.
One of Thomas’s favorite aspects of being a physical therapist is having the opportunity to spend time with patients and help them as a person, rather than a diagnosis or injury. He enjoys the process of getting to know his patients – finding out who they are, what they like to do, and what’s important to them – and then catering their treatment plan toward getting them back to doing those things.
As a lifelong learner, Thomas enjoys expanding his knowledge base, whether it’s through continuing education coursework or experiences with patients that have complex diagnoses or situations. He also finds sharing his knowledge as a mentor to new clinicians very rewarding, and enjoys helping his mentees develop their clinical skills and interests.
Thomas is an avid sports fan, and when he’s not working he can often be found playing soccer, hiking, or just spending time outdoors.
