SNAGs, or sustained natural apophyseal glides, are an intervention that research has shown to be effective in treating cervicogenic headaches. Patients suffering from cervicogenic headaches often experience pain originating from the neck that radiates into the head, as well as limited neck mobility due to impairments of the joints and soft tissues to the neck. Research by Mohamed et al. and Shin et al. has shown that SNAGs performed to vertebrae of the neck on patients with cervicogenic headaches decrease the severity of pain, duration of headaches, and can increase neck range of motion.
