Physical therapists Jaclyn LaBarbera and Pauline Mendoza provide cupping therapy at our Stamford office.
Stamford, Conn. (July 21, 2021) – Access Physical Therapy & Wellness offers cupping therapy at its clinic located at 85 Old Long Ridge Rd. Treatment will be provided by Pauline Mendoza, PT, DPT and Jaclyn LaBarbera, PT.
During a cupping session, your therapist will place round cups on your skin. A manual pump is then used to create suction, and the cups are left in place for several minutes. This increases blood flow to the area, improving circulation. Cupping therapy is used to treat a variety of ailments such as:
- pain
- muscle tightness
- inflammation
- sprains & strains
- back injuries
Cupping therapy is considered manual therapy and is covered by insurance so there is no extra cost for this service. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Patients can schedule appointments by contacting Access Physical Therapy & Wellness at (203)-595-5521 or via email at [email protected].
In addition to cupping therapy, Access Physical Therapy & Wellness in Stamford provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions. For more information, call (203) 595-5521.
