From Our Table to Yours: Heart-Healthy Soups


 

A hot bowl of soup is the perfect comfort food during the cold winter months. In honor of Heart Month, we asked ACCESS PT staff to submit their best heart-healthy soup recipes, and we weren’t disappointed! Here are our three favorites:

 

Superfood Minestrone

This delicious, low-fat minestrone is packed with antioxidants and fiber, and can be easily customized by switching out the veggies for what you have on hand, or subbing in your favorite type of beans!

 


 

Butternut Squash & Apple Soup

This butternut squash soup from Heart Healthy Greek only uses a few simple ingredients, allowing the butternut squash and apple to shine! This is a great choice for those on restricted diets, because it is vegan, gluten free, and dairy free.
