You’re Scheduled for Surgery, Now What?

Presurgical at Home Safety Assessment

Before your surgery, an ACCESS PT therapist will come out to your home and meet with you one-on-one for an hour to review physical therapy plan of care, post operative expectations, home safety, and equipment needs.

In Home Physical Therapy After Surgery

After discharging from the hospital, patients receive physical therapy at home for 1-2 weeks. Frequency/duration depends on the surgery type and surgeon’s protocol. If patients go to rehab setting after surgery, patients may receive up to 3 visits in home for one week.

Patient Transition to Outpatient Office

Your ACCESS PT therapist will schedule you for an evaluation at our most convenient outpatient office so you can continue your rehabilitation program.
