Jeffrey M. Gersch PT

DirectorJeff Gersch earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn in 1991. He began his career at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he developed his skills in treating a wide variety of patients including spinal cord injury, post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac care. He left the hospital setting to concentrate on primarily outpatient orthopedics. An opportunity to practice in his hometown of Highland presented itself in 1993 at Highland Physical Therapy. He has continued to provide P.T. services to his community ever since.
When not in the office, Jeff enjoys traveling, the beach, vacations, walking, and spending time with his family.

Kayleigh McGregor PT, DPT

Kayleigh McGregor PT, DPT
Physical TherapistKayleigh received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Hartford in 2015 and went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in 2018. Kayleigh was born and raised in Dutchess County NY, but began her career in Rhode Island, where she developed her manual therapy and exercise prescription skills in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Kayleigh returned to New York to be closer to family and was presented with an opportunity to work at Highland Physical Therapy.
She takes tremendous pride in her ability to form strong therapeutic relationships with her patients through active listening and compassionate care. Kayleigh implements manual techniques, as well as, functional therapeutic exercises that are tailored to the individual needs of her patients to ensure they reach their goals.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family and friends.

Physical TherapistRuby is licensed to practice physical therapy in the Philippines and New York! She graduated in March 2001 from Liceo De Cagayan University and received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She then earned her United States Physical Therapy License in July 2012. Ruby has cared for patients in outpatient/inpatient facilities and some home care settings as well! Ruby’s knowledge and experience both in the Philippines and New York have made her an amazing addition to the team.
When Ruby’s not in the practice assisting patients, she is enjoying the beauty of nature, and her garden, and spending time with her family and friends.

Physical Therapist AssistantSarah Forzano received her Associate in Science degree from Becker College in Worcester, MA in 2001. She has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2001. For the past 17 plus years, she has worked predominantly in the outpatient setting, while gaining additional experience working in the skilled nursing and inpatient settings as well. She enjoys working in the outpatient setting as she is able to work with all ages of patients with varying orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions. Outside of work Sarah can be found cheering on her three sons year-round as they play basketball, baseball, and football.

Physical Therapist AssistantSonia Borges earned her Massage Therapist license in 2005 at the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy. She then furthered her education at Orange County Community College where she attained a Physical Therapy Assistant degree. After working in a few facilities in the Hudson Valley she found her home at Highland Physical Therapy, where she treats an array of diagnoses and patients of all ages. Sonia uses many hands-on techniques to achieve the best result for each individual patient. In her free time, she enjoys the company of her two children by dancing, singing, and playing games. After a long day of helping others, she is simply known as mom.

Patient CoordinatorGina McCarthy is a lifelong resident of Highland, NY. She has previous experience as a dental assistant for Dental Care of America in Marlboro. She was also the Supervisor of food services at the Lutheran Care Center. Gina’s experience with patient care at the dental office and the awareness of the special needs of the elderly have made her a perfect fit for our team. Out of the office, Gina enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, going to the gym, hiking, kayaking, and riding her bike.

Patient CoordinatorTerridawn Wright was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York and went to school within the Hyde Park school district. Her interest in the medical field led her to complete medical assistant school and work for many practices including Marist college Health services. We are so honored and fortunate to welcome Terridawn to our team and practice. Terridawn’s experience serving in both patient care and administration has allowed for her to wear multiple hats and serve where needed at Highland Physical Therapy. When she’s not studying and focusing on nursing school, she’s out and about playing and enjoying fun activities with her three beautiful girls!

Patient CoordinatorMichele Prince is a lifelong resident of Highland, New York. She attended Highland High School then became a certified technician at Rite Aide for 26 years. Michele’s excellent customer service and her attention to detail has made her an incredible asset to the Highland Physical Therapy team. When she’s not in the office assisting patients she’s hanging with her family and enjoying her new role as a grandmother.

AideSidney Cannon graduated from Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, New York in 2019. Sidney then went on to attend Suny Oneonta and majored in Exercise Science and recently received her Bachelors in Science in May of 2023. She is currently taking a gap year to gain life experience and try new things
before returning back to school. We were thrilled to hear that she wanted to join our team here at Highland Physical Therapy.
Sidney Cannon’s determination and dedication have made her such an asset to our team. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
