Brian Cardin PT, C.PED.
Regional DirectorBrian has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1994 & Pedorthics since 1997. He is a graduate of the University of Findlay’s Physical Therapy Program and Temple University’s School of Podiatric Medicine’s Pedorthic program.
Brian is a founding member of Cardin & Miller Physical Therapy, PC which expanded to include additional partners in 2023 to form ACCESS PT PA, LLC. Brian is a member of the LLC and acts as Regional Director for the clinics in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Most of Brian’s time is spent supporting his clinical team’s business and clinical needs as necessary. He is involved with the American Therapy Association Pennsylvania as a legislative liaison. This affords him the opportunity to have a voice regarding regulatory issues affecting physical therapy. In addition, he teaches orthotic applications in physical therapy at Lebanon Valley College’s PT program and serves on an advisory committee at Messiah University’s PT program.

Jacob Unger PT, DPT
Area DirectorJacob majored in exercise science at Valparaiso University in NW Indiana for his undergraduate schooling. He then attended Duke University where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Jacob enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a passion for optimizing performance whether it be on the playing field or in everyday life. He has extensive experience treating a variety of orthopedic conditions including:
- Post-operative, especially total joint replacements
- Rotator cuff repairs
- Labral repairs
- Meniscal repairs
- ACL reconstructions
- Scopes
- Microdiscectomies
- Spinal Fusions
Jacob was a Division 1 soccer player and particularly enjoys working with other athletes, whether it is to help them recover from an injury or optimize their performance.
One of his favorite things about physical therapy is being able to help patients take control of their rehabilitation using a combination of manual and exercise-based treatments as they increase their function and achieve their goals. He enjoys being able to connect with patients and hear about how physical therapy has changed their lives.
Jacob has ten siblings and grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin before moving to Apex, North Carolina with his family in 2008. He enjoys playing and watching soccer and other sports (Go Packers!) in addition to spending time with his family and friends.

Kyle Davidson PT, DPT
DirectorKyle graduated from Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan with a Clinical Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where he worked with a variety of division-1 collegiate sports teams. He relocated to North Carolina from Michigan in 2012. In 2015, he became a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) through the APTA and began utilizing functional dry needling to treat dysfunctional soft tissue. He has attended Maitland manual therapy continuing education courses focusing on hands-on spinal mobilization and assessment. Kyle has also completed continuing education coursework on vestibular rehabilitation and concussion assessment & medical management.
Kyle loves helping his patients develop autonomy over their own health and believes in providing education to promote independence and to empower his patients to affect their outcome.
