Area DirectorDr. Erik Plaia has been a Rockland County native his entire life. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with his Bachelor of Science in 2017 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2020.
Erik has a passion for improving patients’ quality of life in ways that are meaningful to them. He enjoys getting to know his patients and creating individualized therapy programs to suit their specific needs. He has experience with and a passion for treating a variety of diagnoses including both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic issues and balance/neurological issues. He has treated patients of all ages including young children to geriatrics and everything in between.
Outside of work, Erik is an avid drummer and live music fan. Erik also played ice hockey throughout his youth and continues to play currently.

DirectorDr. Lori Schneider is a caring and dedicated physical therapist who loves helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities they enjoy most. She completed her studies at Boston University, Long Island University, and Dominican College, building a strong foundation in rehabilitation and advanced therapy care.
Dr. Schneider enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, including those with orthopedic, sports, neurological, and pediatric needs. She has special expertise in ergonomics, concussion management, pediatrics, and every phase of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
Her approach is simple: listen closely, create personalized treatment plans, and support each patient every step of the way. She believes that recovery is not just about healing—it’s about giving patients the confidence, tools, and encouragement they need to thrive long after therapy ends.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Schneider enjoys giving back to the community through speaking engagements on physical therapy, health, and wellness, where she shares her knowledge and passion for empowering others to live healthier, more active lives.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time outdoors—especially walking and hiking with her dogs, downhill skiing, gardening, and vacations at the beach—activities that reflect her belief in the importance of staying active, balanced, and connected to nature.

Physical Therapist AssistantKristi Cummings, PTA is a graduate of Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA. She has clinical experience in acute, subacute and outpatient physical therapy with populations including geriatric, neuro, orthopedic and pediatric. Kristi particularly enjoys working with the pediatric population.
As a PTA, she enjoys being able to watch patients’ progression during treatment. By the end of their course of treatment, Kristi loves seeing her patients pain free and able to participate in the activities they were doing prior to their injury or surgery.
In her free time, Kristi enjoys hiking, volleyball, and spending time with her puppy, Bruno.

Occupational TherapistCara attended Seton Hall University for her undergraduate degree and graduate degree with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She achieved her Certified Hand Therapist certification in 2021 to gain knowledge and further her career as an occupational therapist.
She loves to treat post-operative patients and finds it very rewarding to see the first steps of return to function and engagement in meaningful hobbies. As a specialist in the upper extremity, Cara is able to provide her patients with opportunities to perform important occupations based on her client’s ability to reach their full functional potential. She enjoys helping other clinicians learn and explore different treatment approaches and gain confidence in their skilled care.

Physical TherapistJessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from The University of Scranton in 2021, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2025. During her time at Scranton, she was a four-year member of the women’s soccer team, balancing her commitment to athletics with her dedication to learning and patient care.
As a physical therapist, Jessica enjoys working with patients of all ages, with a special passion for pediatrics. She loves building strong, trusting connections with patients and their families, knowing that meaningful care comes from understanding each individual. Jessica focuses on easing pain, supporting development, and empowering children and adults alike to move with confidence and thrive in the long term.
Outside the clinic, Jessica enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and her Golden Retriever, Finn.

Physical Therapist AssistantRaymond Kozireski, PTA, is a graduate of Orange County Community College where he earned a AAS degree in the physical therapist assistant program. He has experience in acute, subacute, and outpatient PT with populations including geriatric, neuro, and orthopedic. Raymond also has 10 years of experience as a personal trainer, which aids in his treatment and understanding of patients’ needs.
As a PTA, Raymond enjoys helping patients through their difficult times during recovery and returning them to their prior level of functioning and beyond bringing great joy and satisfaction to him.
Outside of the clinic, Raymond enjoys traveling, hiking, and sports related activities including hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoys spending precious time with his family and friends!
