PORT JERVIS, N.Y. (Jan 20, 2017)—Access Physical Therapy & Wellness will be hosting an information session on Feb 16 at 6 p.m. at its Port Jervis office, located at 181 Jersey Ave in Port Jervis.
The information session will include a presentation, led by Dr. Nicholas Belasco, D.O., CIC, on concussion treatment and prevention, as well as general information about physical, occupational and speech therapy. Access will also be introducing to the public its new athletic trainer for Port Jervis schools, Kathleen Schindler. Light refreshments will be served, and there will be various giveaways throughout the event.
“We enjoy hosting these events for the public,” said co-owner Steve Albanese, PT, DPT. “Events like this allow us to get to know our communities better, and helps them to get to know us without making a commitment to treatment.”

Dr. Belasco received his doctorate from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Overlook Hospital is Summit, NJ. Dr. Belasco is a physician member of the Bon Secours Medical Group, is board certified in Family and Sports Medicine and is a Certified Impact Consultant. Dr. Belasco also founded the Bon Secours Concussion Management Program.
Schindler graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s in exercise sport science and sports medicine/athletic training. She has more than 20 years’ experience working as an athletic trainer.
The Port Jervis clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.
