Bob Wassel PT, DPT
Director
Bob Wassel PT, DPT
DirectorDr. Robert Wassel earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, where he also received his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Studies with a minor in Exercise Science. Bob’s clinical experience involves working in orthopedics, return-to-sport, neurological rehabilitation, acute care, aquatic therapy, injury prevention, and wellness coaching.
As a Titleist Performance Institute Certified physical therapist, Bob is trained to evaluate golfers using TPI’s physical assessment screen. This assessment allows him to identify and address physical limitations that impact a player’s swing.
Bob was first drawn to physical therapy from a young age, given his love for sports and his own personal experiences with sports injuries. He was intrigued by the incredible differences physical therapists are able to make in a patient’s condition, helping to reduce their pain and improve their overall quality of life. Bob believes that each patient requires individualized care and utilizes a variety of treatment tactics to improve their rehabilitation outcomes. He particularly enjoys educating his patients about the conditions they have and setting up a blueprint for them to get back to their hobbies or physical activities without pain.
Bob was born and raised in Upstate New York. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, playing ice hockey, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
