Nina Silverman PT
Physical Therapist
Nina Silverman PT
Physical TherapistNina attended SUNY Brockport, graduating with a degree in modern dance in 1977. She then attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned a degree in physical therapy in 1982. Since then Nina has continued her pursuit of lifelong learning, expanding her skills in the field of integrative manual medicine and blending it into her orthopedic practice model.
Nina has been a PT practitioner for over 35 years. Her primary focus has been in orthopedic physical therapy with manual therapeutic skills developed during these years. These techniques include Muscle Energy and Counterstrain, which complements the therapeutic process so that goals are achieved more fully and faster. This training and experience along with her background in exercise and dance (13 years of formal dance training including ballet, modern, jazz and African forms), gives her a unique perspective on treatment of pain and dysfunction. Nina’s approach combines the importance of being based in science and research with the importance of integrating conventional and alternative medical models.
