James Gualtieri PT, DPT
Regional DirectorJames is the Regional Director for ACCESS PT, providing leadership in team development, clinical education, and strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and clinical outcomes. He focuses on educating the team in patient-centered care while leveraging data-driven strategies to optimize performance across all levels of care. Outside of work, James enjoys golfing, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family, including playing baseball, lacrosse, and golfing with his kids.

Erik Plaia PT, DPT
Area DirectorDr. Erik Plaia has been a Rockland County native his entire life. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with his Bachelor of Science in 2017 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2020.
Erik has a passion for improving patients’ quality of life in ways that are meaningful to them. He enjoys getting to know his patients and creating individualized therapy programs to suit their specific needs. He has experience with and a passion for treating a variety of diagnoses including both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic issues and balance/neurological issues. He has treated patients of all ages including young children to geriatrics and everything in between.
Outside of work, Erik is an avid drummer and live music fan. Erik also played ice hockey throughout his youth and continues to play currently.
Nicholas Munro PT, DPT, OCS

Nicholas Munro PT, DPT, OCS
Clinic DirectorDr. Nicholas Munro received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Utica College in 2019 and became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2022. He has presented at the APTA and NYPTA conferences, has been published in the American Orthopedic Physical Therapy journal, and taught several continuing education courses.
Nick places an emphasis on the patient experience, particularly in education and establishing self-efficacy. He understands the value in demonstrating skill and compassion and takes pride in guiding patients back to their goals and achieving the highest level of function. Nick has an extensive background in orthopedic care and enjoys working with the chronic low back pain population, as well as shoulder, knee, and post-operative care.
Outside of the clinic, Nick enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their two cats, seeing his family, playing guitar, and going to concerts. He is a washed-up collegiate Tight End but still prioritizes movement and exercise every day. If you see him headbanging at a heavy metal show, no you didn’t.
